The apartment
is located in the heart of Golf del Sur, an exclusive urbanisation.
It is very private without being isolated, with plenty of tapas
bars, restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets all within
walking distance.
Las Americas
15 minutes away by car and Los Cristianos 10 minutes away, on
the coast. Los Cristianos has a great local market and bazaars
with a sandy beach and kid’s corner.
There is
a lovely little harbour which is within walking distance, called
Los Abrigos which has many restaurants and bars overlooking
the Atlantic Ocean, including a great fish restaurant at the
end of the pier. This is an ideal location to eat local seafood,
while watching the fishing boats passing by with the fresh catch.
There is also a new marina down past the Aqua Marina Golf Hotel,
which is currently under construction and only a 5 minute walk
away. Windsurfing and sailing is available from here, along
with a beach café bar.

The
apartment location is only a 2 minute walk from the shingle
beach, giving you the option of lying at the poolside
or at the beach.
There
is a regular bus service directly outside the apartments.
It is possible to explore most of the island solely by
bus. Car hire is not necessary as there are many amenities
all within walking distance. There is the cosmopolitan
capital city of Santa Cruz which boasts plenty of shopping,
restaurants and bars, or Puerto de la Cruz where you can
find Loro Parque with parrots, sub tropical gardens, performing
dolphins and the national park of Las Canadas –
all of which are within a 40 minute drive from the apartment.
There is also a waterpark in Las Americas which is only
15 minutes away and a firm favourite with children.

There are
many excellent restaurants and bars with live entertainment
within walking distance of the apartment. All tastes are catered
for, from traditional Spanish, paella, pizzas and seafood to
British and even Chinese. Only 2 minutes away is a wild geese
bistro which serves the best Guinness south of Dublin! In the
evenings both local and visitors to the island enjoy dining
out with the experience of Spain and its culture. All restaurants
are family friendly, most having children’s menus available.
There are
also many bars, restaurants and pubs where you can have British
food or snacks. A local disco can be found within a nearby hotel
and a nightclub (The Sweetest Taboo’s) at San Blas which
is only a 10 minute walk away.
It is possible
to dine very stylishly or have a simple meal with your family.
If you prefer a snack, the local food bars offer tapas, which
are small portions of food, displayed for your choice at the
counter.

Typical
tapas include meatballs, squid, Spanish omelette, mojo
potatoes, calamari, hams, local cheeses and salads, all
at a very inexpensive cost.
The
apartment is 5 minutes by car from the local supermarket.
There is also the Mercadona store which is situated at
the tope of Golf del Sur. You can purchase most things
at either of these places, or at Farmfreeze which sells
international branded foods. This can be found near the
Mercadona. |
